Congratulations to the 2009 Creative Arts Scholarship winners: Amy Bennett, Boulder Creek High School; Eunmi Kim, Mountain Ridge High School; Briannne Luden, Barry Goldwater High School; Christine Sweet, Boulder Creek High School.

In addition, Christine Sweet received the Norien A. Spence Memorial Scholarship Award.

The 2010 application forms are now available.

The application forms for the 2010 Visual, Literary, and Performing Arts Awards for High School, College-Bound Seniors who were seeking a career in the arts are below.

The competition is open to any students who is a senior in high school and is either considering or seeking post-secondary education in visual, performing, or literary arts and attends one of the following high schools: Barry Goldwater, Boulder Creek, Cactus Shadows, Deer Valley, Liberty, Mountain Ridge, Sandra Day O'Connor, or Sunrise Mountain; or is a resident in areas of the north valley and is enrolled in a charter, home school or other Arizona approved school.

Applications were due by 5:00 pm on January 11, 2010. Award winners were announced during the Arts Council of the North Valley event in the Spring.

This was the fifth year of the program and we are very excited and proud to be able to provide awards in the amounts of $1000 or $500 for students that have shown a desire to further their study and expertise in the creative arts.

Interested and motivated students from all artistic and performing arts disciplines are highly encouraged to apply.
